Directions
O.Henry Middle School is one of Austin’s best Middle Schools with a beautiful campus perfect for running. O.Henry opened in 1953 as a Junior High and continues to boast many successful graduates. The Austin Independent School District (AISD) has been kind enough to donate this site to AAPER for this year’s run.
From the North & South:
Take MoPac/Loop 1 to the Enfield Road Exit. Once you have exited, head west on Enfield Road (from the south, take a left under the bridge; from the north, turn right at the light). Follow Enfield Road (watch for cops!! 30 mph!!) to Exposition Blvd. Take a left onto Exposition and follow this for a couple blocks. The O.Henry track will be on your left and the start/finish line will be in the middle of it. Park anywhere you can around the school.
From the East:
Take 6th street straight across town until you get to the MoPac/Loop 1 Interchange. DO NOT GET ON MOPAC. Follow signs under the bridges to continue on Lake Austin Blvd. Stay on Lake Austin Blvd until you get to Exposition Blvd. Take a right onto Exposition and O/Henry will be a couple blocks down on the right. Park anywhere you can.
